I know it takes about a day for their eggs to survive and sperms can live up to 5 days. So assuming they have sex way before ovulation, how do they get rid of all the sperms/semen manually from their system to make sure there would not be any sperm when they ovulate for fertilization to take place?
Answers:
It would be best to take the morning after pill. Sperm are fast swimmers; you cannot simply just wash them out.
The best way is to make sure the semen is contained inside a condom.
Once a sperm cell swims through the cervix and inside the uterus, there is nothing a woman can do anymore to get it out, and that happens pretty fast. Faster than she can run to the bathroom and do whatever she wants to do to try and get it out.
So methods like douching etc. are not efficient in avoiding pregnancy at all. But methods that place a barrier between the sperm cells and the cervix (like condoms and diaphragms) are.
Why not use a condom so you don’t have to worry in the first place?You can’t just wash out all the sperm, it doesn’t work that way, and if you don’t know the basics, you really shouldn’t be having sex, especially unprotected sex, in the first place.
Unfortunately there are no natural ways to extract semen once it enters the vagina. The woman can try to ‘push’ most of it out, but there will be a fair amount that still remains inside.
When it comes to conception, the sperm have a rough road ahead of them. The ones that do make it to the canal face a long and dangerous journey. There are dead ends, which if found the likelihood of them getting out is minimal, and only the fittest of sperm are able to fit through all the crevices and swim the strenuous journey. Very few end up making it to the end, and as you stated, can only survive a couple of days waiting for the egg.
The morning after pill will ensure a pregnancy does not take place, otherwise naturally there really isn’t any way to remove the semen.
